Privacy Policy

How V1AeroSolutions collects, uses and protects your personal data — drafted to align with the EU GDPR and Romanian data-protection law.

V1AeroSolutions (“we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data we collect or process. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, the legal basis on which we rely, and the rights you have under applicable data-protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Romanian Personal Data Protection Law.

1. Data controller

V1AeroSolutions is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and in the course of providing our services. To exercise your rights or for any privacy-related questions, contact us at support@v1aerosolutions.com.

2. Personal data we collect

We collect personal data that you provide to us directly, including when you submit a request for quote, fill out a contact form, subscribe to communications or otherwise correspond with us. This may include:

  • Identity and contact details — name, job title, company, email address, telephone number, postal address.
  • Commercial information — part numbers, aircraft type or registration, scope of work requested, delivery requirements.
  • Communication content — the message, attachments and any other information you choose to share.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type and version, time-zone setting, operating system, and other technology on the devices you use to access this website.
  • Usage data — pages visited, links clicked, duration of visit and similar analytics data.

We do not knowingly collect special-category personal data (such as health, biometric or political data) through this website.

3. How we use your data

We use personal data for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiries, prepare quotes and provide our parts, MRO, AOG and CAMO services.
  • To manage our contractual relationship with you or the entity you represent, including order acknowledgement, invoicing, delivery and after-sales support.
  • To comply with legal obligations, including aviation, export-control, accounting and tax requirements.
  • To improve the website, monitor security and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • To send service-related notices and, where you have consented, marketing communications you can opt out of at any time.

4. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)

We process personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract — when processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract or to perform a contract with you.
  • Legitimate interests — to operate our business, secure the website, respond to commercial inquiries and develop our services, provided your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests.
  • Legal obligation — where processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject (e.g. aviation regulation, export control, tax law).
  • Consent — where you have given consent for a specific purpose (e.g. subscribing to marketing communications), which you can withdraw at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.

5. How we share your data

We do not sell personal data. We may share personal data with:

  • Service providers and processors that support our operations — including IT and hosting providers, email service providers, logistics carriers and analytics tools — under written agreements requiring appropriate safeguards.
  • Business partners, suppliers, MRO facilities and certification authorities, where necessary to fulfil an order or provide the service you requested.
  • Public authorities and regulators, where required by law or to protect our rights and interests.
  • Professional advisers — lawyers, auditors, insurers — where necessary for advice or to comply with legal process.

6. International transfers

We operate offices in Romania and the United States, and some of our service providers are based outside the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision, as required by GDPR.

7. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including to comply with legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Quotation and order records are typically retained for the duration of the commercial relationship and for the periods required by applicable aviation, export-control and tax legislation. When no longer needed, personal data is securely deleted or anonymised.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy.
  • Request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request erasure of your data where the legal basis no longer applies.
  • Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing.
  • Request data portability for data you provided to us, where processing is by automated means and based on contract or consent.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Romania, this is the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@v1aerosolutions.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Cookies and tracking technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. For details on the cookies we use and how to manage them, please see our Cookie Policy.

11. Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 16.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is the one published on this page, with the effective date noted at the bottom. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
