The service includes tire demounting, cleaning, bead seat NDT, tie-bolt and bearing inspection, wheel condition assessment, tire remounting, inflation to specified pressure, leak check, and final test verification. All work is carried out in accordance with approved maintenance data and is delivered with an Work Order, NDT report, full traceability documentation, and release under EASA Form 1 certification.
Major Overhaul
Wheel Assembly Overhaul — Full overhaul of main and nose wheel assemblies performed in accordance with the applicable CMM. The process includes complete disassembly, paint removal, eddy current, magnetic particle and fluorescent penetrant NDT of wheel halves, tie bolts, drive blocks, dimensional inspection against OEM limits, bearing inspection, re-coating, and reassembly with new seals and approved hardware. Delivered with a Work Order, NDT reports, full traceability documentation, and release under EASA Form 1 certification.
Overload Inspection
Dedicated wheel assembly inspection following hard landings, overweight landings, or any load event exceeding Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) limits. CMM-defined NDT scope — including extended eddy current coverage on bead seat radius, tie bolts ultrasonic MPI testing, and dimensional verification of wheel halves for deformation. Delivered with a Work Order, NDT reports, full traceability documentation, and release under EASA Form 1 certification.
Overheat Inspection
Specialized inspection of wheel assemblies following thermal events such as rejected takeoffs, emergency braking, brake fires, or fuse plug activation. Scope is defined in accordance with the applicable CMM and includes assessment of heat-affected components, wheel half material verification, bead seat condition, heat shield integrity, tie bolt inspection, and conductivity checks, as well as fuse plug replacement where required. The inspection includes full documentation of findings with photographic evidence of heat-affected areas, recorded measurements, and a clear disposition for return-to-service, repair, or scrap.
