Specifications:
Meets requirements of U.S. Military specification MIL-PRF-16173E GRADE 1 & 4 transparent, non-tacky film.

Properties – Typical Values:
• Solvent based, free of benzene, trichloroethylene and perchloroethylene.
• Solvent distillation end point (max): 210°C.
• Flash point: >38°C.
• Drying to touch time: Not more than 3 hours.
• Salt spray exposure time (min): 14 days.

This type of transparent, non-tacky film gives better results against corrosion in relation with other products, which form a soft film.
Intended Usage:
a) For general purpose indoor and limited outdoor preservation of corrodible metals with or without an overwrap and where handling, stacking and counting requires a tack-free coating.
b) For storage protection of precision parts, machine tools, pistons, valves and where a transparent coating is required in addition to properties indicated in item (a) above.
c) For protection of machinery and parts designed for export and where salt spray contamination is likely to occur.
d) Where there is no requirement for miscibility with lubricating oil and where ease of removal with stoddard’s solvent (P-D-680) is important.

Directions for Use:
IS-2006 is used in full strength by spray, immersion or swab. Allow IS-2006 to dry to form a transparent, non-tacky, protective anti-corrosive film.

Product Removal:
IS-2006 is removed from parts by solvent wiping, steam gun cleaning or alkaline hot tank immersion.
